横街,是彭亨立卑的美食地标。这条比较像行人道的街道,虽然短短不到三百公尺,却汇聚了立卑最负盛名的小吃美食。

经过美化之后,如今的横街已经从最初简陋的锌版摊子模样彻底地脱胎换骨,然而几十年来唯一不变的是,横街始终是立卑人最留恋的美食街,飘逸着许多立卑人成长的美食滋味。

其中最具人气的,要数设在中段的两家店—“彰哥客家面”和“盘兄弟果条档”,两个店家各有各的拥护者,谁也抢不了谁的锋头。

盘兄弟的生蚶炒立卑面,炒得乌黑亮丽,火候十足,风味别具一格;

而只此一家、别无分店的彰哥客家面,则面条白皙,不温不火。两家店似乎不止面条黑白对立,还各自穿上了自家的制服,一家全蓝色,另一家全绿色,乍看之下相映成趣。

独家制作的彰哥客家面颜色偏白,条条分明,饱满厚实,只需要拌上鸡肉碎和精心熬制的鸡肉汤汁,再撒上青葱,就可以美味上桌,尽管简单无华,可是每一口面条都软韧香滑,肉味浓郁,叫人回味悠长!

如今许多设在咖啡店内的客家面摊,都打出了“彰哥”的名字,情况就如同炒粿条摊非得要注明“槟城炒粿条”一样,“彰哥”已经成为了客家面的著名品牌,然而真正的彰哥客家面原来只此一家,别无分行,就只有在立卑横街才能品尝到最正宗原味的彰哥客家面。

卖了超过半个世纪的彰哥客家面,绝对是立卑人引以为豪的美食好滋味,凡是立卑华人,没吃过彰哥客家面的人少之又少,从小吃着彰哥客家面长大的立卑人,则大有人在。

经营了40多年的盘兄弟果条档,一开始是选用别人制作的粿条,后来哥哥成功研制了风格独树一帜的立卑面,让他们的炒面更有口感了。立卑面连同鸡蛋和豆芽,下锅翻炒到酱香四溢之后,就随即添加生剥的鲜蚶,拌炒三两下完成了一碟生蚶炒立卑面。热气腾腾的立卑面,加入了鲜甜清新的蚶只,让锅气十足的面条更添姿色,更加美味。

横街和立卑的发展息息相关,听说早年往来立卑都是透过日黎河,而华人先辈一登岸便在河岸附近的横街落脚,因此横街算是立卑华人先民最早聚居的地方。

许多人只知道“彰哥”就是客家面的老招牌,却从未见过自1955年就创办了彰哥客家面的彰哥本人。彰哥客家面如今由孩子承接衣钵,继续炮制原汁原味的客家面。

“蚶扒”盘兄弟循众要求特别炮制的创意早餐,别开生面的鲜蚶和鸡蛋组合,让味觉与视觉都得到最新鲜出轨的体验,鲜蚶甜美诱人,蘸着辣椒酱吃尤其惹味!

40多年前,盘老大和弟弟两人携手经营面条档,一开始是选购别人的面条,后来则自行制作立卑面,如今他们的立卑面已经批发到多个地方。

盘兄弟的生蚶炒立卑面所用的生蚶都是即场现剥现炒,特别鲜甜。

彰哥客家面的汤汁一直以来都是用老母鸡精心熬制,几十年不变。

    对于新的一集阿贤人情味(彭亨立卑彰哥客家面),我觉得有一些奇怪。本人也来自立卑。据我所知 (立卑彰哥客家面 )并不是 只此一家,别无分行。在Panda indah, cheras 就有一家(彰哥客家面),该店店主也姓罗,所用的招牌相同,售卖的面条味道也一样。

    I saw the show on AEC just now. It was very good and I was happy to see familiar faces on ASTRO. I grew up in K.Lipis and I love the food there so much especially Chong Ko mee and Fried Mee.     据我所知,彰哥面的确只有一家,那就是在立卑,这个古色古香的老城里… 对,招牌是一样,可是当我在吃过两家都打着’彰哥’这个名号的面条时,我就知道吉隆坡所卖的一定是冒牌货…面条没有弹性,肉汁不到味…真是难吃死了!!!!还有人说什么满足我们这些游子思乡之情!!! 怎么那么多人喜欢冒充别人的东西啊?!!!虽然都是姓罗,可是真的是一个天一个地啊!!!

    我是1/4个立卑人。。。

    老实说两家面我都吃过,立卑的面条比较好吃,爽口,但是汤头比较咸,一般人可能没办法接受。而且要七早八早(早上9点以前)就到街场,不然就没得吃,对于像我那样地夜猫可能会比较难。。:P

    Pandan 的哥哥开的那家胜在够近,不用开那2 1/2钟头的车飞回去lipis。。。他的汤料选择也比较多,有咖喱的,干的等,可能是为了迎合kl人的口味吧!

    阿贤怎么没有推销他的老鼠粉啊?超好吃的。。。

    还有他的辣椒酱,正!

    Chong Ko mee in Lipis and Pandan Indah is the same. But Ah Sui’s (Pandan Indah) mee taste better. Also, the “Low Sue Fun” is very nice. The chilly sauce nice as well. You will get addicted to this mee once you tasted it. hehehe!

    i was born in K.Lipis too…. i’ve tried both and the taste for k.lipis & Pandan Indah are very much different, definitely the k.lipis one is much much better. You should try the original one @ K.Lipis…

    This is one chinese programme which I really enjoyed watching eventhough I can’t understand mandarin.
    I would appreciate if you could have the blog in english too to cater to people like me who can’t read chinese.
    I would also like to know how can I get the address of certain places which was shown in Taste With Jason.
    I was in Kota Kinabalu the other and was trying to figure out when the Beef Noodles was and check with a few of my friends there but they too doesn’t know.

    I heard that the Chong Ko Hakka mee also has a branch in USJ 14.
    My sister’s boss who is from Kuala Lipis use to go to USJ 14 ….
    According to him, it’s somewhere near to the shoplot at Court 8 or 9 at USJ. I personally have not go there …but will be going to look for it soon!!! Hope that this can help those who is in PJ area and would like to taste it

    昨晚,贪吃的我又发现到了一个绝对美食好地方,
    就是位于雪兰莪焦赖九支的”来发海鲜酒家”,
    老板跟我说这是一间已有超过四十年的酒家,
    这间酒家老板最拿手的是”奶油虾”,
    四十年坚持不变的煮法,
    吃了真的还想再来一碗..

    所以我建议你到那个地方尝尝..

    I guess alot of people who personally know the ChongKo noodles owner, will know that there are really more than one branches. They are brothers and they have their own branch. I’m sure there is slight differences in taste but they are definately tasty.

    The fact that the brother in Kuala Lipis falsely claim in front of the audiences that there are no branches are really surprising. Are there fued among the brothers?

    However, it’s nice to be reminded of the wonderful noodles that existed in our lives. Keep it up ahxian!

    我本身是个地地道道的立卑人。
    我们全家人都是zhongko’s hakka mee 的长期顾客。
    除了光顾K.Lipis的,我们偶尔也有到Pandan Indah 的…
    我觉得K.lipis的没那么好吃了,若比起以前…肉碎变少了而且辣椒酱也变淡了…
    反观PandanIndah的肉碎比较多,辣椒酱也较浓,所以也较好吃!

    Yes, there is a Chong Ko Hakka Mee in USJ14, it is at the corner shop behind 7-Eleven. But I would still preferred the REAAAAL Hakka Mee from Seremban’s Pasar besar. It is the best. No other shop can get that special flavour. It’s our must everytime we travel to S’ban.

    last time can choose fish ball or pork ball up to u…
    but now choose pork ball have to add more 10 sen…
    actually both are same family and also for real…
    but i dunno y lipis that cheong ko said that there is no other branches…
    last time go back lipis still can eat cheong ko mee…
    but now too many people. very fast sold out.
    I miss the char keow teow also… :D

    pandan indah and kuala lipis hakka mee are operated by brothers. the younger brother operates the stall in k lipis. the elder brother operates the shop in pandan indah, with an expanded menu.

    there is another stall in section 17, petaling jaya but it is operated by a lady from kuala lipis who gets her mee from the shop in pandan indah.

    我母亲和外婆都是立卑人,我从小也时常到立卑,吃了彰哥客家面差不多十多年了,最近发现原来老大到了pandan indah开业,说实在的,个人口味,我比较喜欢老大的味道,反而是立卑老店的味道有种每况愈下的感觉,老大为人随和,弟弟就比较认真,各有千秋吧。pandan indah的有很多选择,比较适合kl人的喜好吧。还记得以前我开始吃立卑彰哥客家面的时候是50仙一大腕而已。好怀念。
    至于盘兄弟的生蚶炒立卑面,呵呵,实在是必试之食。(他的儿子还是我童年玩伴呢。肯肯,如果你还记得我的话,联络我吧。^^)

    我也是道地立卑人,其实以前的章哥面比较好吃,现在都不再用全部老母鸡来熬了,当然没那么入味,而且呀,价钱越来越贵,面就越来越少。还是Pandan Indah阿水哥得比较好吃,就在hospital pantai pandan indah旁边的店面而已,又方便又好吃,价钱当然贵一点,但是他的又大腕又好吃,值得!
