节    目∶《阿贤人情味》- 不烤沙爹
播出日期∶2010年6月13日(星期日) 10:00pm
播出频道∶Astro AEC(第301频道)

i love this satay celup very much when i look at it firstly! It is extremely attractive for me! But, axian, can you introduce more delicious food within KL?

  • HL said:

the origin satay celup is the capitol satay celup, why its name as capitol satay celup? because the founder used to sell the satay celup beside the Capitol Cinema, Jalan Bendahara, now shifted to Jalan Bukit Cina.

They are the first one who sell the satay celup, and in fact they are the co founder.

The place is not as what it seems

Service was bad even if the number of people were the reason, no one came to entertain us. We didnt know who was incharge. No sign of any “boss” was around to manage the people.

We had to find out by ourselves that we have to tell the person our name to put ourselves into the “queueing system”

I haven’t been to Capitol in a very long time and I can’t remember.

But the satay celup’s SOUP/gravy IS NOT CHANGED. So the soup/gravy is from previous serving which also might be the previous meal prior to your turn.

My experience? I had slight diarrhea but only for the night.

I will blog about it on my blog soon. For now, this is my comment. Hopefully it will be shown here as a customer.

i watched this episode last week about the satay. axian mention the satay was originally from indonesia, but this is wrong information,it was actually created by the teochew people when they migrated from China to Malaysia during the old times;the teochew people first started using the coconut branch stick skewer with 3 different types of sea food, espcially the shake meat. and these no former name for this delicacy,so they called it ‘3 pieces meal’(pronouns in Teochew or Hokkian).from there onward they call it Satay or Sate.

Dear Tommy, Sate is originated from Jawa (Indonesia), believed to be a kind of food initially influenced by the Arabic roast meat. In the China’s culinary books, you can easily find the fact that the “Teochew Sha-die” was a foreign food brought back to China by those Teochew people abroad in the older days.

No hard feeling. I shared the above because I’m afraid you may mislead the rest.

Dear Tan Soon Lai,I totally agreed with you now, satay or sate is originally from java!? So Zheng He has never travel to melacca and Java? The Lamb Skewer for Xin Jiang muslim people in China also from Java? Noodle also from Java bruoght to China, because they have Java Mee Goreng?Indonesia chinese are mostly not Teochew?
The Melacca prince known as Iskandar Shah died in 1424. During his rule, Melaka progressed into a booming international trading post, luring over Javanese, Indian, Arab and Chinese sea-merchants.During that times, chinese brought the Sate back to China?

The food at KINGTU Satay Celup Restaurant is DIRTY & the boss is RUDE!!

Incident 1: They never change the satay celup sauce used by previous customers. Worst still, it was not covered while they clean the table. During my visit on 18.6.10, we saw some thing from the table dropped into the sauce while the maid cleaning the table. So, I told the boss what happened & requested to change the sauce. He refused. I starred at him & repeated my request since it was so dirty. Again, he refused & queried me in a very rude manner (like a gangster) for starring at him.

Incident 2: they claimed that customer can request to add ingredient to the sauce if they like spicy. Don’t be fooled by them!! My mom’s friend requested to add the ingredient & he refused.

Incident 3: the relatives of my mom’s friend used they own tissue paper as the restaurant didn’t provide any. The boss asked them to clean they own tissue paper after used.
