从早上7点开始营业的这摊开记云吞面,每一天做生意只是短短的4个小时。可是面摊从开始营业直到打烊的几个小时之内,顾客总是络绎不绝,现场更是人声鼎沸,好不热闹!原来摊主和伙计从不写订单,顾客点的面,无论是干是汤、是单是双、是普通或是加料,全都记在脑海里,所以伙计们需要不时地张望四周,不停地叫嚷,以免遗漏掉任何顾客的订单。

这家华绅风味食馆,早在1990年代便已经是远近驰名的传统福建菜馆,可是在7年前,店主把餐馆搬到了新村附近相对比较不显眼的地点,最终餐馆不只设在毫无地理优势的二楼,而且更叫人不解的是,店家还取了一个新店名,仿佛是要以一家全新餐馆的姿态重新出发,但是如此一来,用了10几年光景打造的福建菜老招牌,便如同人间蒸发一样,从此和许多常客失去联络了好长一段时间。

Khao Jam (Map)

This is tiring, we’re out here picking wild herbs. The dish we are featuring today is a delicacy made from these wild herbs. It is called Khao Jam. What is Khao Jam ? I have no idea either.
“Khao Jam” is actually Thai, “Khao” means rice, “Jam” means “mixed together”. Therefore “Khao Jam” would mean a rice dish in which all the side ingredients are mixed together and eaten. The Chinese call this dish Herbal Green Rice.

地点位于菜市场附近的这摊曼煎糕,自38年前就开始营业。摊主夫妇俩合作无间,先生负责制作煎糕,太太则趁热把煎糕切一半,和起来再切成三角形的小块。热气腾腾的曼煎糕,仿佛嘴巴里含着满满 的花生馅料,似乎每咬一口都有齿颊留香,满面春风的畅快感觉。
